Why are you selling all this stuff and where did you get it from ?
To make some space! Having inherited loads of stuff from various family members, it is time now to 'downsize'.
We moved from a fairly large villa to a smallish apartment and really need to free up some space.
Having said this, we (my husband and I) still go to 'floh-markets' (flea-markets) whenever we can.
Where are you located ?
We live in Austria. We moved here from the Far East about six months ago.
Austria is in Europe, and if you are looking at a map of Europe, it is kind of above Italy and to the right (east) of Switzerland.
You have five pictures of the item I am interested in, but can I get more ?
We do our very best to provide plenty of pictures of each and every item, from different angles.
And we encourage you to study them, as they often show minor blemishes, we have not noticed.
If you need more, or more of a specific part of the item, please let us know, we would be happy to email as many as you need to you.
I collect a very rare type of widget, in only one colour, and you do not have any listed, what can I do?
We take collecting seriously, and are avid collectors ourselves.
If there is something in particular you are searching for, let us know your field of interest, and we will do our best to find what you are looking for.
The first thing we will do is to check our "treasure chests", literally old travel trunks, stuffed full of vintage and antique collectables we have inherited.
If we cannot find anything there, then the next time we visit the local 'flea markets' (which we do often), we will keep our eyes open for examples of your items. This does not put you under any obligation to buy and we will not buy for you, unless instructed to do so.
Do you offer a guarantee of any kind ?
Yes, I guarantee that the item(s) you buy are accurately described and very well researched. I mention all flaws and imperfections, no matter how insignificant. But please bear in mind that costume jewellery has been worn, albeit with care, and therefore it is usual for some kind of light wear, such a scratches, nips and flea bites.
For example, with Vintage Costume Jewelry, as with crystal, particularly antique crystal, it is normal and a positive sign to see tiny air bubbles. If one did not know this, one may assume that this is an imperfection. In fact, it is a sign that the crystal is genuine, and hand-made.
I have a page of testimonials from my clients, including emails, and you are free to contact any to check what kind of service they received.
Do you charge for "shipping & handling" my item ?
We try to use recycled wrapping and packaging, and everything is packed meticulously, with great attention to detail and care. Wrappings are from a clean environment and will not smell of smoke or pets.
Items are 'over-packed' rather than under-packed. And although this does add to both the time taken in packing, and to the cost of shipping, the peace of mind afforded is worth the extra.
There is no handling charge.
